I Love The Silent Auctions At Quilt Shows

I was at Plano Quilt Show this past weekend.  It was a very nice show.  I bid on this quilt and won it!  It was made by Pat Fowler and is titled Offset Pineapple.  I love it.  There were several quilts I would have bid on, but this was my favorite.

It is so fun to have something in the house that is hand-made by someone else.  My own projects - I really like but I usually look at them and remember every error or hiccup from the process.  Additionally it is cool to see what someone else has chosen for fabrics/colors.  That it benefits the guild is just another plus.

I initially hung it on my gray design wall for photos.  It is now in my living room.

It Just Needs A Facing

My Linear Landscape from Gloria Loughman's Craftsy class is finished except for a facing or binding.

I liked the class and pattern.  Some things are less than perfect but that is all on me, not the fault of the pattern or instructor.
