Quilting on the Moon

I am not referring to Newt’s 51st state. I am finishing up the quilting on Night Garden this weekend and I just did the moon portion.  I used Glide silver thread.

OKC expo

I am behind on blogging. I have been traveling for work a lot this month.

Jan 13th and 14th I went to a quilt show in OKC   http://qscexpos.com/  It was a small show. There were several guilds there with raffle quilts, vendors, and the quilts. I took a class from Pam Clarke on Friday and attended a Ricky Tim’s lecture Saturday morning.

Here are a couple of my favorite quilts. I snapped a picture of the description. Sorry those are choppy but I didn’t want to block others views and picture taking so I was moving quickly.

working on night garden quilting

I wanted to get this finished this weekend, but I am behind.  I am working on it but I ended up doing a narrow line background fill in the top and bottom window sill and that is taking time. The roots of the tree are breaking into the wooden sill and making a path into the garden.

The dark green has a swirl/leaf background quilting.  I am not sure what I am going to quilt in the light green swirl fabric.  That is supposed to represent curtains, so something a little more formal?

The moon?  I am thinking something like McTavishing.
